ABOUT ME

I wouldn’t know who I am without music.

As a Juilliard harpsichordist, my career started in classical. I was living in the Village in New York City playing harpsichord for pop/rock artists at Electric Lady Studios, where I found myself drawn to pop music.

I started writing songs and signed a publishing deal with Warner Brothers that resulted in some notable cover records. While at Warners, I began to write and produce jingles including “The Best Part of Waking Up” for Folgers.

Taking a break from composing, I recorded as an artist, with a song “If the Love fits Wear It” that charted at 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.

A blues guitarist friend got me into playing bass, and I later joined his band opening for B.B. King.

It's been my privilege to work with so many greats in the business; Phil Ramone, Berry Gordy, Clive Davis and the best musicians and engineers in the country.

My path in music has been quite a trip. Music is the road I still travel on, and there is no end in sight.

BMI Award

Leslie Pearl was presented the BMI Million-Air Award for radio airplay. The Million-Air award recognizes songwriters who have accumulated over one million airplays of their songs on American radio and television.

Leslie Pearl is a three-time Clio Award winner for her jingles for Built Ford Tough and Folgers . Clio is the premier international awards competition for the creative business. National Parenting Award

The National Parenting Product Award presents their award to Leslie Pearl for her album “Classical Music for Preschoolers”.

The NAPPA Awards presented their Silver Award to Leslie Pearl for her album “Baroque Music Rocks!”

The Folgers “Best Part of Waking Up” jingle is one of the longest running jingles in advertising. Composer Leslie Pearl has just sold the rights.
